QA Testing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:


Quality Assurance (QA) Testing:

  • Conduct thorough manual and automated testing of applications, including functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify and report bugs, defects, and other issues using JIRA, ensuring timely follow-up and re-testing.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the application are tested to deliver a high-quality, bug-free product.


Project Management:

  • Oversee project timelines, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring all phases of development are completed on time.
  • Act as a bridge between the development team and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
  • Maintain accountability for project updates, issue tracking, and progress reports.
  • Facilitate stand-up meetings, project review sessions, and sprint planning meetings.

Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with the development team to ensure alignment on timelines and scope.
  • Ensure smooth coordination of tasks and timely resolution of blockers or challenges.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test results, and bug reports.
  • Prepare project status updates for internal teams and stakeholders.

Tools & Platforms:

  • Use JIRA for tracking bugs, issues, and project progress.
  • Utilize collaborative tools to manage workflows and task assignments.



Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in QA Testing & Project Management: Minimum of 3+ years in a dual-role capacity or similar experience.
  • Proficiency with Testing Tools: Expertise in JIRA for issue tracking, along with experience in other testing and QA tools.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with testing methodologies, SDLC, and best practices for software testing.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent English Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Remote Work Experience: Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results remotely.
  • Domain Experience: Experience in the travel domain is preferred but not mandatory.
