Job Summary:

Detail-oriented Automation Quality Assurance Engineer, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing to ensure the highest quality of software products. This role involves close collaboration and embedded with the development Scrum team to identify and resolve defects, ensuring our software meets both functional, regression and performance standards.


Role Description

The Automation QA Engineer will be responsible for creating and executing test cases, conducting manual testing, and ensuring software quality through QA automation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
  • Collaborate with software developers, SME’s to understand product requirements and design automated testing strategies.
  • Maintain and update automated test scripts to accommodate new features and changes in software design.
  • Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing to ensure software stability.
  • Prepare detailed reports on testing activities, including test results, defects, and quality metrics.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements and potential issues.
  • Ability to automate Regression testing
  • Automate Performance testing
  • Perform Integration and End to End testing
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
  • Documentation skills – Writing Acceptance criteria, Feature details for testing
  • Ability to derive metrics from Test data


Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# or C++.
  • Understanding of frameworks like Gherkin, Cucumber formats to test
  • Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, QTP, TestComplete, or similar
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology – having worked in a Scrum team and used methods like Behavior driven testing(BDD, TDD), tools, and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of demonstrable experience
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with performance and security testing.
