General Summary:

Footwear technical & quality manager implements, manages, and promotes the quality systems in the company, using adequate tools and methodologies based on national, international or company standards. He or she is in charge of establishing requirements and objectives, as well as preparing documents. He or she analyses complaints, and promotes and coordinates corrective and preventive measures. He or she promotes an effective internal and external communication and ensures the customer's demands are met. He or she is responsible for the definition of instruments which monitor and control of the quality systems, namely internal or external auditing, and he or she participates in the internal auditing.

This role prefers expatriate who ever worked in India.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Footwear quality

  • Quality specifications of materials, processes and final products, the most common defects in footwear, quick tests procedures, laboratory tests procedures and standards, adequate equipment for quality checks. Quality assurance of footwear production processes and fundamental concepts on quality including footwear quality framework and standards.

Footwear manufacturing technology support

  • Provide support for footwear processes technology. The footwear manufacturing starts in the cutting/clicking room, cutting the uppers and bottom components.

Apply footwear and leather goods quality control techniques.

  • Apply quality control in footwear and leather goods. Analyze the material, component or model using relevant quality criteria. Compare the material and other components received from the suppliers, or the final product, to standards. Use visual observation and report findings. Control the quantity of leather in the warehouse. Submit components to laboratory control test when necessary. Define the corrective measures when called for.

Create solutions to problems

  • Solve problems which arise in planning, prioritizing, organizing, directing/facilitating action and evaluating performance. Use systematic processes of collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information to evaluate current practice and generate new understandings about practice.

Minimum Experience:

  • Above 15 years footwear production experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience leading a team is also important

Minimum Education:

  • University or College degree or equivalent.
