This is a leadership role in our engineering team not just a cog in the wheel.This is not a maintenance role. This is engineering leadershipowning the backend architecture of a global, privacy-first communication platform. Youll lead by example, guide a high-calibre team, and ensure our backend systems remain blazing-fast, rock-solid, and uncompromising on security.Youll be at the intersection of code and leadershipmentoring engineers, driving architectural decisions, and setting engineering standards that define how a global product is built.What are we building ?Theclinet is the world's first zero-access, zero-spam enterprise communication product that operates on a structural privacy architecture. This is production-grade software that secures communication for thousandsand soon, millionsof professionals worldwide.Whats the role ?- Architect backend systems in NestJS and Golang to meet global scale and enterprise-grade performance.- Drive design for microservices, real-time comms (WebSockets, WebRTC), and data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis).- Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain CI/CD discipline.- Mentor and upskill backend engineers.- Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, and product leaders.- Own technical problem-solvinganticipate bottlenecks, make hard calls, and prevent tech debt from being parked for later.- Manage task allocation, workflow discipline, and ensure smooth collaboration with frontend and DevOps.The tech here is serious.We work on socket-driven comms infrastructure, distributed control towers, multi-category encryption, root detection, app kill-switches, dynamic guest access, device-level lockout, and OOO/ DND logic layered with smart whitelisting. This is not lightweight app dev.
