Eligibility:

  • Graduate in any discipline from a reputed university/ institute.
  • Minimum of 1-7 years’ experience in managing Individual/group claims.
  • Preferably experience in managing Individual, group claims, MIS and reporting claims function.
  • Should be well versed with Indian Life, Group claim practices, Regulatory practices and compliances, Analytical and presentation skills


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Managing the team of individual, group claim processor.
  • Assess, evaluate and process claims applications as per agreed procedures.
  • Ensure all claims related compliance are met
  • Managing MIS and reporting of team along with MIS resource.
  • Vendor management and SLA adherence.
  • Coordination with Group Business, Sales and master policy holders along with brokers for day today activities.
  • BAP reporting
  • Handling Reinsurance, IRDA reporting, sales, escalations.
  • Respond to industry/Master policy holder/brokers/sales mails
  • Coordination with other departments like finance, IT and other departments within operations for day today activities and other actionable.


Key Performance Indicators:


  • Accurate, high quality and timely settlement of claims
  • Accurate and timeline data management
  • Quality in claims processing.
  • Contribution to business process improvement.
  • Compliance adherence


Key Outputs:

  • Compliance adherence with zero breaches
  • Quality and accuracy in claims.
  • Guiding the subordinates on making appropriate decision on claims
  • Maintaining various management information and quality control reports as per the guidelines
  • Provide requisite service to the sales and master policy holders.


Key Skills:

  • Good knowledge of the insurance regulatory environment and competitor awareness
  • Strong Communications and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office -Excel, Word, Power point etc
  • Eye for detail, Analytical ability
  • Good knowledge of the insurance regulatory environment and competitor awareness
