Job SummaryThe Principal leads the design teams during design delivery and manages design activities of water resources projects in K&A.He is the main counterpart of Project Managers and a key support in client interactions. He works closely with Project Managers for the review and validation of design deliverables and monitors the checking and reviews of all design phases and ensures the proper implementation of all related adjustments and revisions.Key Responsibilities: Developconcept, schematic, detailed, and draft final designsfor water transmission mains and distribution systems for potable and non-potable water supply networks. Prepare and review all associateddesign drawings, reports, and technical documentation . Demonstrateexcellent report writingskills and proficiency in preparingtechnical documents, specifications, and design justifications . Identify and evaluatedesign alternativesfor the development and optimization of new water resources. Performhydraulic analysis and modelingof water supply and distribution systems to assess flow characteristics, pressure conditions, and system performance. Conductwater demand forecastingand analyze usage data to inform design capacity and infrastructure planning. Designwater storage facilities , including ground and elevated storage tanks and reservoirs. Carry outcost-benefit analysesfor proposed water supply projects to support decision-making. Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams(civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, and process) to ensure integration and consistency throughout all project stages. Review and validate design deliverablesand incorporate revisions based on quality checks, peer reviews, and client feedback. Collaborate with stakeholders to supportvalue engineeringinitiatives and implement design optimization measures for assigned projects. Maintain astrong working knowledge of international design standards and codesapplicable to water infrastructure projects. Prepare and presentengineering calculations, design reports, permit applications, and technical presentationsfor both internal and external stakeholders. Providetechnical mentorship and guidanceto junior engineers and design teams. Prior experience working onGulf region projectswill be considered an advantage. Exhibitexcellent interpersonal, coordination, and communication skillsin a multidisciplinary environment.QualificationBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil or Environmental Master’s Degree or higher in Water Resources Engineering or equivalent Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferredSkillsIn-depth knowledge of water resources design and principles in the Middle East Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
