Our Corporate Commercial Practice is known for its cutting-edge legal solutions in emerging areas such as data privacy, digital transformation, and cross-border compliance.Position OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Legal Advisor – Data Privacy & Protection to join our Corporate Commercial Practice team. The ideal candidate must demonstrate deep subject matter expertise in privacy and data protection laws, with strong legal advisory, documentation, and client engagement skills. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law, technology, and business.Key Responsibilities- Data Protection Frameworks: Design, develop, and implement comprehensive data privacy and protection frameworks for clients. - Contracting s Advisory: Review, draft, and negotiate data processing agreements, data transfer clauses, privacy notices, and other related documentation. - Workshops s Capacity Building: Lead and conduct privacy training programs, client awareness sessions, and internal workshops. - Privacy Audits Assessments: Conduct privacy assessments/audits and provide actionable legal recommendations for regulatory compliance and risk mitigation. - Client Engagement: Provide strategic legal counsel to clients on domestic and international data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDPA”) General Data Protection Regulations (the “GDPR”), etc.Required Qualifications- Law degree from a recognized institution. - Privacy certifications such as IAPP (CIPP/E, CIPM) or DSCI certification (preferred).Professional Experience- 5+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong focus on privacy and data protection laws. - Expertise in reviewing and negotiating privacy-related agreements and legal documents. - Prior experience in advising clients on compliance with the GDPR, the DPDPA, and related regulatory frameworks. - Excellent analytical, drafting, and interpersonal communication skills. - Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality work in a dynamic environment. - Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all aspects of legal practice.How to Apply- Interested candidates should submit the resume to career@LegaLogic.comPlease include ‘Senior Legal Advisor - CCP” Application' in the subject line
