The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology applications.Responsibilities :- Develop, test, and maintain high-performance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and CICS.- Write and debug REXX scripts for automation and tooling.- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Perform impact analysis, code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices.- Provide support for production issues and participate in on-call rotations.- Work closely with QA, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.- Prepare technical documentation and support system integration testing.Requirements :- Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL,- Familiarity with VSAM, DB2 and TSO/ISPF.- Solid understanding of SDLC and mainframe batch and online processing.- Experience with debugging tools such as Xpediter, Abend-AID, or File-AID.- Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems efficiently.- Exposure to mainframe modernization initiatives or tools (e. g., Micro Focus, API integrations).- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.- Knowledge of change management tools like Endevor or ChangeMan.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Technical Skillset : JCL, Cobol, DB2, VSAM (ref:hirist.tech)
