Job Summary:
The Compliance Associate supports the compliance department in ensuring that the organization adheres to relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. This role involves monitoring, reporting, and ensuring corrective actions are taken to maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance:
- Monitor and interpret regulations related to the company’s operations.
- Ensure the company adheres to applicable laws, including local, federal, and industry regulations.
- Assist in updating compliance policies as laws and regulations evolve.
Internal Auditing:
- Perform regular audits to assess the company's compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Document audit findings and assist in the development of remediation plans.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including audits, findings, and corrective actions.
- Prepare compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in drafting and updating compliance policies and procedures.
Training and Communication:
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training programs to employees.
- Communicate compliance standards and procedures across the organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in a compliance or audit role, preferably within the same industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the business.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software or audit tools is a plus.
