Power BI Developer

Overview :

The Power BI Developer plays a critical role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions.

- Utilizing Microsoft Power BI, the individual will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports, enabling stakeholders to visualize and analyze data efficiently.

- This role involves collaborating with various departments to understand their analytical needs, ensuring that the deliverables provide actionable insights.

- As organizations increasingly rely on data-driven strategies, the Power BI Developer becomes indispensable in bridging the gap between complex data sets and user-friendly visualizations.

- Consequently, the position requires advanced technical skills, a solid understanding of business processes, and the ability to communicate findings clearly.

- A successful Power BI Developer will not only excel in technical capabilities but also demonstrate a keen ability to understand and respond to business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.

- Transform raw data into meaningful insights through data modeling and visualization.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for enhanced reporting.

- Develop DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) measures to enhance data models.

- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating data sources and outputs.

- Create visually appealing and interactive reports to facilitate intuitive data exploration.

- Implement best practices in data visualization and dashboard design.

- Utilize Power Query to gather and transform data from various sources.

- Provide end-user training and support to maximize the use of Power BI tools.

- Monitor and maintain existing reports and dashboards, ensuring they are updated with new data.

- Collaborate with IT teams to manage data flows and ensure connectivity to data sources.

- Stay updated on Power BI features and enhancements to leverage new functionalities.

- Prepare documentation for Power BI processes and dashboards.

- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data analytics needs.

- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Power BI reports and data sources.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of data visualization principles and practices.

- Experience with DAX and data modeling techniques.

- Proficient in SQL for data extraction and management.

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Understanding of business intelligence concepts and tools.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Exposure to other BI tools and technologies is a plus.

- Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- Continuous learner with a passion for technology and data analytics.
