About the Team The Data Platform Tech Team at Navi is instrumental in enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. We build and manage the core infrastructure and tools required to collect, store, process, and analyze data at scale. Our platforms support self-serve capabilities for both batch and real-time data processing. We work closely with Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams to power a wide range of data use cases across Navi.About the Role As an SDE-3 on the Data Platform team at Navi, you'll design and build large-scale systems powering web events, analytics, and real-time data pipelines. You'll lead backend development, contribute to platform architecture, and solve complex data problems. This is a high-impact IC role with strong cross-functional collaboration and mentorship opportunities.What We Expect From You Design ,develop , andmaintain backend services ,data pipelines , andbatch/realtime datasetsrelated toweb events and analytics Strongproficiencyin at least one of the following languages:Java ,Python ,Scala Expertise inobject-oriented design ,design patterns , anddata structures Lead the developmentof newfoundational capabilitiesin support of enabling our users tointeract with ,analyze , andderive insightsfrom their data Solvecomplex and challenging problemsin the intersection betweenlow latency ,high correctness , andfull determinism Participate incode reviews , providementorshipto junior team members, and enforcecoding standards Investigate ,diagnose , andresolve software defects and issues , ensuring a high level ofproduct quality Contribute to the overallarchitectureanddesignofdata platform frameworks Stronginterpersonal skills , showcasing effectivestakeholder managementwithproductanddesign teams A minimum of5 years of software development experienceMust Haves Familiarity withmodern data lakehouse architecturesand related technologies (e.g.Spark ,Flink ,Kafka ,Trino ) Prior experience inon-prem data-platformis preferred Demonstrated ability toquickly adaptto new andcomplex development environments , along with strongdeep-dive analytical skills Previous success inmentoringandguiding junior engineersInside Navi We are shaping the future of financial services for a billion Indians through products that are simple, accessible, and affordable.
