Responsibilities :

Oracle & MSSQL Migration to Azure :

- Participate in the comprehensive assessment and planning of Oracle and MSSQL database migrations to Azure.

- Define and document efficient migration procedures for both Oracle and MSSQL databases, utilizing various tools like RMAN, Export/Import, Datapump, and SSMS.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive runbooks for successful deployment of Oracle and MSSQL databases on Azure.

- Lead and supervise a team of Oracle and MSSQL migration engineers, ensuring smooth execution of migration projects.

- Champion knowledge sharing and training within the team to ensure successful project completion.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges that may arise during the migration process.

Technical Expertise :

- Possess in-depth knowledge of Oracle technologies, including DataGuard, GoldenGate, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), and Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).

- Demonstrate extensive experience working with all major Oracle versions, including 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, and 19c.

- Maintain strong familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server migration methodologies and best practices.

- Possess a good understanding of MS Azure PaaS DB services like Azure Database for MySQL and Azure Database for PostgreSQL (a plus).

- Experience with G42/ Core Cloud migration solutions (a plus).

Qualifications :

- Minimum 4-6 years of experience in database migration, with a proven track record of successful Oracle and MSSQL migrations to cloud platforms.

- Strong understanding of cloud migration strategies and best practices, particularly for Microsoft Azure.

- In-depth knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL database administration, including schema manipulation, query optimization, and security management.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

- Passion for continuous learning and staying current with the latest database migration technologies
