This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical healthcare systems while developing your technical skills under the guidance of senior engineers and engineering managers. You'll contribute to building scalable solutions that directly impact healthcare accessibility and quality.Key Responsibilities Software Development: Develop and maintain features for healthcare claims processing systems using modern programming languages and frameworks Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following established coding standards and best practices Implement business logic for claims adjudication, eligibility verification, and provider management workflows Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices within our distributed architecture Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team membersHealthcare Data Integration: Work with healthcare data standards including EDI X12, HL7, and FHIR formats Implement data transformation and validation logic for healthcare transactions Build integration components for real-time and batch processing of claims and provider data Ensure data quality and accuracy across system boundaries Support integration with external healthcare partners and clearinghousesQuality & Testing: Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests for developed features Collaborate with QA team to ensure thorough testing coverage and bug resolution Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing processes Follow test-driven development practices where applicable Support debugging and troubleshooting of production issuesCollaboration & Learning: Work closely with senior engineers, Technical Architects, and Engineering Managers Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives Collaborate with Product Managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions Engage in knowledge sharing sessions and technical discussions with the team Continuously learn new technologies and healthcare domain knowledgeSystem Maintenance & Support: Monitor application performance and respond to production alerts Participate in on-call rotation for critical system support (with mentorship) Implement logging, monitoring, and observability features in applications Support system deployments and release processes Contribute to documentation and knowledge base maintenanceRequired Qualifications Experience:6+ years of professional software development experience Programming Languages:Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or Go) Web Development:Experience with web application development, REST APIs, andprotocols Database Knowledge:Working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) Version Control:Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows Problem-Solving:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Communication:Good written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration Learning Mindset:Eagerness to learn new technologies and domain-specific knowledgePreferred Qualifications Cloud Platforms:Some exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure) and cloud-native development Had built large scale systems with high reliability & very good MTTR & MTTD values. Well versed with architecture & design patterns.
