Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical/Civil/Architectural Design Engineer located at South Chittoor, Ernakulam District. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and producing detailed drawings of various mechanical components and systems, performing detailed calculations, and creating detailed design specifications. The role involves using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to produce technical drawings and collaborating with other engineering departments to ensure the smooth implementation of designs. Additionally, the Mechanical Design Engineer will troubleshoot design issues, improve existing product designs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.Qualifications, Experience & SkillsetsBachelor's / Masters degree in Civil, Mechanical, Architectural or Structural Engineering2 to 3 years' of relevant experience in the construction or metal fabrication industryExpertise in detailed engineering drawings (shop & erection drawings)Proficiency in RHINO/SOLIDWORKS/TEKLA/AUTOCAD/STAAD PRO softwareExperience in the preparation of accurate Bills of Material (BoM) for all required raw materials, hardware and fastenersSolid understanding of structural steel engineering principles, load-bearing concepts, and force transfer in structuresExperience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) softwareStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExceptional accuracy and attention to detailProficiency in mathematical reasoning, geometry, and trigonometry, as also welding symbols, connection type and standard fastening methodsAbility to read and interpret complex blueprints, plans, sections, and elevationsIn-depth knowledge of various metal fabrication techniques (cutting, bending, welding, forming, machining, punching, stamping, casting, forging) and their implications on detailingKnowledge of different metal types (steel, alluminium, stainless steel, brass, bronze, etc.) and their properties
