Our expertise spans applicationmanagement and support, ERP system implementation, integration andmodernization, as well as prebuilt retail solutions, custom software development,and IT staff augmentation.We are committed to delivering high-quality services that drive long-term successand measurable value for our clients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Design and implement scalable services using Java 21 and Spring Boot ina microservices environment.* Work with PostgreSQL and gain exposure to NoSQL databases such asCouchbase.* Deploy applications on Azure Kubernetes Service.* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other DevOps tools.* Ensure system reliability and performance through monitoring and alerting toolssuch as Splunk.* Write automated tests and apply TDD/BDD methodologies.* Collaborate via GitHub, participate in peer code reviews, and follow modern Gitworkflows.* Take ownership of deliverables while proactively seeking guidance when prioritiesare unclear.* Contribute to team learning by mentoring junior developers and sharingknowledge.* Continuously improve development practices, code quality, and team efficiency.REQUIREMENTS* 3-5 years of commercial software engineering experience in the Java/JVMecosystem.* Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices design.* Familiarity with event-driven architectures and tools such as Kafka.* Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and familiarity withNoSQL technologies.* Hands-on experience in cloud-native environments (especially Azure) andKubernetes.* Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and test automation.* Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and computational thinking skills.* Upper-Intermediate English (B2) for both verbal and written communication.NICE TO HAVE* Skilled in Spock (Groovy-based testing) or eager to learn it.* Familiar with monitoring or observability stacks such as Splunk, Prometheus.* Proven ability to deliver microservices using Micronaut.* Proficient in using Terraform for infrastructure automation.* Background in retail tech or B2B platforms is a plus.WHAT WE OFFER* Hybrid work model - 3 days per week onsite at the office in Bengaluru.* Official contract in accordance with local legislation.* Paid vacation of 20 working days and 12 days of sick leave.Send your portfolio / GitHub link with CV to hr@sunbayapps.com
