We’re Hiring – BIW Design Engineer (5–8 Years Experience)Location: ChennaiWe are looking for talented BIW Design Engineers with hands-on expertise in CATIA V5, Teamcenter, and Vismockup to join our dynamic team.Skill Set- Proficient in CATIA V5 (GSD / Sheet Metal / Part / Assembly / Drawing Workbenches) - Strong knowledge of Teamcenter & VismockupDomain Knowledge- BIW Design (Underbody / Front End Structure) - Manufacturing processes, tooling, stamping & assembly sequence - AL-PL layout, Master Sections, Vehicle Integration & Packaging - Regulations & Homologation requirements - GD&T (CAD models & drawings) - Familiar with WERS, GPDS & DPA 0/1 assessments in E2KSJob Responsibilities- Contribute to concept development and VA-VE activities - Develop Body Engineering CAD concepts for PV & CV programs - Define & implement joining strategies (Spot Welding, MIG, etc.) - Ensure design compliance with BIW, technical & structural requirements - Coordinate with manufacturing for feasible mass production solutions - Collaborate with CAE team to meet Safety, NVH, Deflection & Fatigue targets - Ensure proper interfaces & clearances meeting DPA standards - Conduct timely engineering reviews of CAD - Work cross-functionally (Suspension, Powertrain, Manufacturing, Exterior/Interior) - Interpret DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T to support D&R and enhance design qualityApply now at siva.saikumar@gbitinc.com
