Job Description: Senior MEP Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Senior MEP Engineer to lead and manage the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) aspects of our residential construction projects, including high-rise apartments, villas, and weekend homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical or mechanical engineering and demonstrate expertise in MEP design, installation, and maintenance. This role requires exceptional technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality MEP systems within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

1. MEP Design and Planning:

  • Review and interpret MEP designs and technical drawings to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive MEP project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, and engineers to resolve technical issues and optimize designs.

2. Site Supervision:

  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Monitor construction activities to uphold quality and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Address and resolve on-site MEP challenges efficiently.

3. Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Lead and mentor site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors involved in MEP work.
  • Conduct regular meetings to review progress, identify bottlenecks, and align team efforts with project goals.

4. Quality Control:

  • Enforce rigorous quality assurance processes during MEP installations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

5. Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements for all MEP activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory regulations and ensure project compliance.

6. Stakeholder Management:

  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of MEP materials and services.
  • Provide clear and consistent updates to stakeholders on project progress and key milestones.

7. Cost Management:

  • Monitor project expenses to control costs and prevent budget overruns.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 8 to 12 years in MEP engineering for residential projects, particularly high-rise apartments, villas, and weekend homes.
  • In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and modern construction technologies.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Expertise in quality assurance, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to analyze problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
