Overview:

Tac Security is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Product Engineer specializing in Cyber Security to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, coupled with a passion for product development and innovation. As the Lead Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge security solutions to safeguard our clients' digital assets.


Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the design and development of cybersecurity products and solutions in alignment with Tac Security's strategic objectives.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and security operations to define product requirements and specifications.
  3. Conduct thorough research and analysis of emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends to drive product innovation and enhancement.
  4. Architect and implement robust and scalable cybersecurity solutions, leveraging best practices and industry standards.
  5. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the product engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  6. Perform code reviews, quality assurance, and testing to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the developed products.
  7. Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather feedback, prioritize features, and address issues in a timely manner.
  8. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create compelling product documentation, presentations, and collateral to support sales efforts.
  9. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies and methodologies, and actively contribute to thought leadership within the organization.
  10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline development processes, increase efficiency, and optimize product delivery.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience (X years) in software development with a focus on cybersecurity, preferably in a product engineering role.
  3. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, technologies, and best practices.
  4. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++, as well as familiarity with web development frameworks.
  5. Experience with security-related technologies such as encryption, authentication, intrusion detection/prevention systems, etc.
  6. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  7. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and inspire teams to achieve common goals.
  8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  9. Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced, agile environment.
