Overview:

Tac Security is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Product Engineer specializing in Cyber Security to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, coupled with a passion for product development and innovation. As the Lead Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge security solutions to safeguard our clients' digital assets.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of cybersecurity products and solutions in alignment with Tac Security's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and security operations to define product requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry trends to drive product innovation and enhancement.
  • Architect and implement robust and scalable cybersecurity solutions, leveraging best practices and industry standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the product engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Perform code reviews, quality assurance, and testing to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the developed products.
  • Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather feedback, prioritize features, and address issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create compelling product documentation, presentations, and collateral to support sales efforts.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies and methodologies, and actively contribute to thought leadership within the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline development processes, increase efficiency, and optimize product delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (X years) in software development with a focus on cybersecurity, preferably in a product engineering role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C/C++, as well as familiarity with web development frameworks.
  • Experience with security-related technologies such as encryption, authentication, intrusion detection/prevention systems, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and inspire teams to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced, agile environment.
