Job Summary

As the Food and Beverage Cost Controller for DBakers, you will be pivotal in ensuring effective cost management across our food and beverage operations. Your role will involve monitoring inventory, analyzing cost variances, implementing cost-saving strategies, and working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize profitability while upholding high standards in food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee procurement, storage, and issuance of food and beverage inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels with minimal waste.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of food and beverage costs, including ingredient pricing, portion sizes, and sales trends, to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development of budgets and financial forecasts, focusing on cost projections and profit margins for food and beverage operations.
  • Menu Collaboration: Partner with the culinary team to create profitable menu options, balancing cost efficiency with customer satisfaction.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure quality ingredients at competitive prices and ensure timely delivery.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and enforce procedures to manage inventory and prevent unauthorized use or theft.
  • Cost-Saving Initiatives: Identify areas for cost reduction, such as portion control and waste reduction, and lead initiatives to enhance profitability.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on costs, inventory levels, and profitability metrics for management review.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training for staff on cost control best practices and inventory management to ensure compliance with SOPs.



Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role, ideally within the food production or hospitality sector.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities, proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel, excellent communication, and a keen eye for detail
