Key Responsibilities :

- Data Center Operations : Monitor and manage the performance, uptime, and availability of data center hardware and systems, ensuring that all services run smoothly and efficiently.

- Infrastructure Support : Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, network devices, and other data center hardware. Perform upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.

- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution : Respond to and resolve data center incidents, including hardware failures, network issues, and system downtimes, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

- Capacity Planning : Analyze data center infrastructure usage and performance metrics to ensure resources meet growing demands, and make recommendations for optimization or expansion.

- Automation & Monitoring : Implement and maintain automated monitoring tools and scripts to ensure proactive detection and resolution of infrastructure issues.

- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of data center infrastructure, configurations, procedures, and change logs for internal teams and compliance purposes.

- Disaster Recovery & Backup : Ensure robust backup and disaster recovery systems are in place, test and update procedures regularly, and ensure data integrity during system recovery.

- Security & Compliance : Ensure that all data center infrastructure complies with security best practices and regulatory standards (e.g, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.

- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with internal teams (e.g, network engineers, system admins, and developers) to support system deployments, upgrades, and incident resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Experience : 3+ years of experience in data center operations, infrastructure management, or a related role.

Technical Expertise :

- Hands-on experience with servers (e.g, Dell, HP, Cisco), storage systems (e.g, SAN, NAS), and networking devices (e.g, routers, switches).

- Proficiency in operating systems such as Linux, Windows Server, and VMware.

- Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and firewalls.

- Familiarity with data center management tools and automation (e.g, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

- Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud architecture.

- Knowledge of data center design, cooling, power management, and physical security.

- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

- CompTIA Server+

- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect

- ITIL Foundations Certification

Desirable Skills :

- Experience in network automation and scripting (e.g, Python, Bash, PowerShell).

- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.

- Hands-on experience with disaster recovery planning and business continuity processes.

- Knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions
