We’re looking for a passionate and proactive R&D Head to help us lead this transformation.Job Summary:We are seeking a visionary Head of R&D to lead our Research and Development function — driving innovation, product excellence, and strategic growth through science, technology, and customer insight.Position OverviewThe Head of R&D will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of product research, formulation, testing, and innovation. This leadership role requires deep technical expertise in cosmetic science, a strong understanding of market trends, and the ability to translate consumer needs into breakthrough products. The ideal candidate will spearhead the development of new product lines, improve existing formulations, and establish MARS Cosmetics as a leader in product innovation and quality.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership- Develop and execute the R&D strategy aligned with MARS Cosmetics’ business goals and brand vision. - Drive innovation pipelines across makeup, skincare, and personal care categories. - Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain teams to align R&D initiatives with consumer insights and market trends. - Establish and manage short-term and long-term R&D roadmaps for product innovation and technology advancement.Product Development & Innovation- Lead ideation, formulation, and development of new cosmetic products — from concept to commercial launch. - Ensure all formulations meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards while maintaining cost-effectiveness. - Oversee laboratory operations, including formulation development, testing, and stability studies. - Foster partnerships with ingredient suppliers, contract manufacturers, and technology providers for cutting-edge innovation.Research & Technical Excellence- Monitor emerging technologies, materials, and scientific trends in cosmetic science and related fields. - Lead continuous research to enhance product efficacy, sustainability, and user experience. - Implement rigorous testing methodologies, including stability, compatibility, and safety evaluations. - Champion data-driven R&D practices to optimize formulations and processes.Team Leadership & Development- Build and lead a high-performing R&D team of formulators, scientists, and technicians. - Promote a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the department. - Mentor team members and foster cross-functional collaboration across business units.Compliance & Quality- Ensure compliance with all local and international cosmetic regulations (FDA, BIS, EU, etc.). - Oversee documentation, claims substantiation, and regulatory submissions. - Work with Quality Assurance teams to maintain product integrity throughout development and production.Qualifications & Experience- Master’s or Ph.D. in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience in cosmetics or personal care R&D, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record in developing successful beauty or skincare products from concept to launch. - Strong understanding of cosmetic formulations, ingredient technologies, and manufacturing processes. - Familiarity with sustainability trends and clean beauty formulations. - Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.Key Attributes- Visionary mindset with strong scientific and commercial acumen. - Passion for beauty innovation and understanding of evolving consumer preferences. - Collaborative leader with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams. - Detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven.Why Join MARS Cosmetics?· Be part of a young, vibrant company on a fast growth trajectory.· Opportunity to shape the future of the beauty industry with innovative products.· Work in a dynamic, creative, and collaborative environment.· Competitive salary and benefits package.
