About Baazi Games :Baazi Games is a group of companies operational in a variety of online games.Having started in the year 2014 with its first gaming product, PokerBaazi.com, which is now India's leading poker website, Baazi Games now offers more gaming products such as BalleBaazi.com, a fast growing cricket fantasy game and RummyBaazi.com, a traditional Indian card game.Baazi Games caters to a registered user base of over 1 Million and is committed to the growth of online skill gaming industry in India.Bollywood actress Sunny Leone and olympic medallist boxer Vijender Singh have been the brand ambassadors of PokerBaazi.com.Baazi Games was a brain child of Navkiran Singh, an IT graduate & a passionate poker player at heart.All products at Baazi Games are home grown, aimed at providing a great gaming experience comparable at a global level.As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting mission-critical systems, mentoring engineers, and ensuring robust, secure, and scalable backend infrastructure for millions of concurrent players.Responsibilities :- Architect and design scalable backend systems capable of handling real-time data and high traffic.- Build and secure microservices with industry best practices in encryption, authentication, and data protection.- Apply expertise in parallel computing to improve performance, thread safety, and concurrency handling.- Drive seamless service deployment and orchestration using Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.- Lead architectural decision-making and evaluate multiple frameworks, tools, and technologies for optimal fit.- Own technical metrics, track system performance, and ensure continual optimization.- Troubleshoot production issues, ensure system resilience, and deliver zero-downtime releases.- Collaborate across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to drive strategic initiatives.- Mentor and guide junior team members through code reviews, architectural discussions, and best practices.- Stay updated with evolving backend technologies, security protocols, and system design innovations.Requirements :- 8+ years of backend development experience, including system design and large-scale architecture.- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, WebSockets).- Strong background in network security, including securing APIs and data encryption.- Proven experience with parallel computing, thread management, and concurrency control.- Proficiency in container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and automation pipelines.- Versatility to learn new languages or tech stacks as needed; proficiency in at least one OOP language.- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Good to have :- Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code(e., Terraform, CloudFormation).- Exposure to performance tuning, system integration, and large-scale data systems (ref:hirist.tech)
