Position Title: Manager – TaxationLocation: MumbaiExperience- 6 to 9 YearsNeed candidates from Financial Services & Capital Services.Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Manager – Taxation to handle direct and indirect tax compliance, coordinate audits and assessments, and support tax-related queries. The role involves working closely with internal teams and external tax authorities to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with applicable laws, and effective tax management.Key Responsibilities:Direct Tax Compliance (Team Member):- Manage TDS liabilities, including filing of TDS returns and issuing TDS certificates. - Review foreign remittance documents, coordinate with tax consultants, and upload required forms. - Handle monthly and quarterly tax provisioning and disclosures as per IND AS, and optimize effective tax rate (including deferred taxes) for standalone and consolidated accounts. - Manage Securities Transaction Tax (STT) and Commodities Transaction Tax (CTT), including reconciliations and filing returns. - Manage Advance Tax compliance.Tax Assessments and Appeals:- Compile data for tax audits, file Income Tax returns, and manage assessment processes. - Follow up with tax authorities for refunds and resolution of queries.Technical Updates and Audit Coordination:- Review and analyze new laws and amendments impacting direct and indirect taxes, including Income Tax, Stamp Duty, STT, CTT, and GST. - Assess tax implications of transactions and coordinate with statutory and internal auditors. - Support GST compliance activities during reporting timelines.Performance Metrics:- Financial measures as per defined KRAs - Customer measures as per defined KRAs - Internal process measures as per defined KRAs - Learning and growth measures as per defined KRAsStakeholders:- Internal: All departments within the organization - External: Tax authorities, tax consultants, and auditorsQualifications & Experience:- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6–9 years of experience for Manager level - Strong knowledge of taxation laws and accounting standards - Relevant experience in financial services is preferredWhy Join:- Dynamic and inspiring work environment - Collaborative and inclusive culture that values diversity and continuous learning - Opportunities to work on challenging projects for professional growth - Support for professional development and advancement - Comprehensive employee benefits and perksIf interested share me your updated resume on jeena.sunil@evokehr.com
