We are looking for a driven sustainability expert to help us deliver on our ambitious sustainability targets in Huhtamaki India.Your main responsibilities would include: Lead and develop operational sustainability roadmaps to ensure that the organization remains at the forefront of efforts to combat climate change and deliver improvement on environmental footprint, with major focus on energy consumption, GHG emissions, water and chemicals consumption and waste management. Plan and implement related projects and investments across the manufacturing footprint of Huhtamaki India with accountability for overall delivery against the plan and measuring project impact Drive new initiatives in areas such as biodiversity and supplier sustainability, in line with company strategy. Support and contribute to global company sustainability initiatives as subject matter expert Create the BRSR (Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting) disclosure in accordance with SEBI guidelines in India as well as support Sustainability reporting as per CSRD and other relevant guidelines towards the Huhtamaki Group reporting. Support Investor relations in creating and responding to investor queries and disclosures related to sustainability. Keep abreast of all major updates and regulatory requirements related to sustainability and support the organization in meeting them, for example Plastic Waste Management rules and processes to comply with EPR rules Support Sales team to engage with customers on any requirements and expectations related to sustainability Support Product sustainability initiatives towards recyclability and recycled content use, LCA requirements as they develop, in partnership with R&D and segment product sustainability team. Support the Public Advocacy work in India through partnerships with Industry Associations and Government working groups, as needed. Represent the organization in Industry talks, conferences. Support the Human Resources team in implementing CSR initiatives with a focus to positively impact communities. Take the lead on change management needed to drive forward the sustainability agenda both with external and internal stakeholdersYou will work closely with internal and external stakeholders across the Huhtamaki India organization, the global business segment leadership team, the global Sustainability and Communications team, the local and segment level EHS, Quality & Compliance and Risk management organizations, customer representatives, suppliers, industry associations, and regulatory authorities.
