We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Sales Executive to join our team in the Retail segment. As a key member of the sales team, your primary responsibility will be to convert high-quality leads provided by the Business Development Executives (BDEs) into sales. You will engage in fieldwork, visiting potential clients to present and sell our premium frozen snack products, and focus on driving revenue growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales Conversion:
- Actively follow up on leads generated by the BDEs through tele-calling and data extraction.
- Meet with potential clients in person to present and promote Maleo Foods' frozen snack products.
- Understand client needs and tailor product offerings to match their requirements.
- Close sales deals by building strong relationships with clients and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Field Work:
- Visit retail outlets, grocery stores, and other potential customers regularly to generate new business opportunities.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide samples as needed to help clients make informed purchasing decisions.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to secure profitable deals.
- Lead Management:
- Collaborate with the BDE team to ensure seamless transition and follow-up on qualified leads.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the database of leads and ensure proper documentation of all interactions.
- Provide timely feedback to the BDE and sales teams regarding the quality of leads and suggest improvements if necessary.
- Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and new products in the frozen snack segment.
- Use this information to strategize sales pitches and identify new sales opportunities in the retail segment.
- Sales Targets & Reporting:
- Achieve weekly/monthly sales targets and contribute to overall revenue goals.
- Report progress, sales performance, and challenges faced in the field to the Sales Manager regularly.
- Provide insights into customer feedback and market trends to help refine sales strategies.
- Proven experience in field sales or a similar role, ideally within the retail or FMCG sector.
- Strong ability to build relationships and close sales in a business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle field visits across assigned regions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with the frozen food or snack segment is a plus.
- Basic understanding of lead generation tools (Google, JustDial, IndiaMART, etc.) is beneficial but not required.
