This role is part of Alcon's Information Technology function, a team that delivers cutting-edge technology solutions to Alcon associates and customers to help our people and the world see brilliantly.

The Principal I, IT Business Systems Analysis (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for leading the design and implementation of complex business systems, working with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with strategic business goals.

Specifics include :

- Lead the design and implementation of large-scale IT systems that meet business objectives and are scalable for growth.

- Act as the primary point of contact for business and IT teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to analysts and other project team members.

- Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and align with long-term business strategies.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

- Lead high-impact IT systems analysis projects with significant business implications.

- Make high-level decisions related to IT system design and architecture, ensuring systems are designed to meet future business needs.

- Provide input on business strategy and align IT solutions with business goals.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Business Analyst (IT BA) to lead our Product Oriented Delivery (PoD) team.

The IT BA will be accountable for major deliverables including ML Data model, Visualization, Migration of solution to production, pilot learnings, and market archetype setup.

While not a people leader role the , ideal candidate must demonstrate strong traditional leadership skills along with traversal leadership and leadership through influence.

The IT BA will need to challenge and refine concepts with the product owner, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

- Lead the POD team and be accountable for major deliverables such as ML Data model, Visualization, Migration of solution to production, pilot learnings, and market archetype setup.

- Demonstrate leadership skills to lead the team and be able to challenge and fine-tune the concept together with the product owner.

- Bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

- Gather and document requirements (write user stories), analyze data, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the AI/ML models align with business objectives. , demonstrate strong business acumen, and decompose user stories to determine where solutions should reside.

- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including POD engineers, other BAs, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Tower leads, Solution Architect, and Technical Architect.

- Stay involved from user story creation through development and release, ensuring that the final product meets business Requirements/Minimum Qualifications : Bachelors degree or equivalent years of applicable : 10+ years of applicable experience.

- Excellent analytical skills to understand, structure and describe business requirements to the development team.

- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.

- Experience in Agile projects involving multiple countries and business stakeholders.

- Working understanding of the Salesforce.com platform and tools, and Data Lakes.

- IT Tools : Jira, Confluence, MS Excel & PowerPoint proficient.

- Experience in AI, especially machine learning.

- AWS and/or Salesforce.com certifications.

- Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.

- Fluency in both Waterfall and Agile approaches and methodologies, particularly SCRUM.

- Experience of working on global IT projects involving multiple service delivery teams and external vendors.

- Experience of working with global business stakeholders.

- Technical background, ideally in Salesforce.com, AWS or other cloud CRM or data platform.

- Strong coordination and communication skills.

- Basic SQL (required).

Work hours : 1 PM to 10 PM IST.
