QA Specialist

Tecnostac Systems Private Limited, established in 2022, is a dynamic FinTech start-up founded by seasoned professionals with over 30 years of experience in Financial Technology and Global Banking. This extensive experience has enabled Tecnostac to provide innovative solutions to Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) and financial institutions in Africa, helping them gain traction and expand their customer base. Tecnostac Systems offers comprehensive banking solutions for the cooperative sector, including the development of Co-Bank+®, a specialized core banking solution for SACCOs and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in Africa.

We are seeking Quality Assurance experts to join our QA team. We aim to strengthen our team with specialized professionals who can bring their expertise and innovative thinking to our dynamic projects.

Number of Open Positions: 2

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated QA Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in testing .NET and Java-based platforms to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with testing tools and a fair knowledge of testing core banking applications, having worked on at least one such project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute test plans and test cases for .NET and Java-based core banking applications.
2. Utilize various testing tools to ensure thorough and efficient testing processes.
3. Collaborate with development and functional teams to ensure the quality and functionality of core banking solutions.
4. Identify, document, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve them.
5. Ensure adherence to testing best practices and methodologies.
6. Monitor and report on testing progress and results to stakeholders.
7. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in QA tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years of experience in QA roles, with a focus on testing .NET and Java-based platforms.
2. Fair knowledge of testing core banking applications, having completed at least one such project.
3. Proficiency in various testing tools.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
6. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:
1. Experience with SACCOs and Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in Africa.
2. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the financial sector.
