About Open Secret :

Open Secret is a platform with a vision to make every Indian family snack better. Powered by a strong operating team of strategists and marketers from Harvard Business School, IIM, and IIT with 40+ years of collective FMCG experience and backed by the strongest set of mentors and funded by prominent investors: Ananta Capital, Sixth Sense, Matrix, Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Founder, Paytm), Kunal Bahl (Co-Founder, Snapdeal), Rohit Bansal (Co-Founder, Snapdeal) and Vivek Gambhir (Director and former CEO, Godrej Consumer Products).

The goal is to become the most preferred F&B platform for families by un-junking their favourite food & beverages. Open Secret is currently available through their website at , multiple ecommerce platforms, and across offline stores Pan India where they sell their entire range of un-junked snacks along with other partner brands including; Nutty Cookies, Nutty Chips, Flavoured Nuts, Nutty Shake Mixes , Chocolates, Nutty Spreads etc.

About the CEO and Co-Founder :

Ahana Gautam, CEO & Co-Founder at Open Secret, is an experienced operator with a passion to build and grow the biggest consumer brands in India. She is currently building Open Secret with a mission to make every Indian family snack better by un-junking their favourite food and beverages. She has a B.Tech from IIT Bombay and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Started her career at P&G where she worked across multiple functions - supply chain, finance and marketing. Ahana grew her passion for food brands at General Mills in the US where she launched natural and organic products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including timely filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy of tax calculations, and adherence to tax laws and regulations.

2. Oversee the Goods and Services Tax (GST) process, including GST registration, invoicing compliance, filing of GST returns, and handling of GST audits.

3. Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, identifying and addressing any areas of non-compliance.

4. Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors to support tax planning initiatives and resolve any tax-related issues.

5. Manage the accounts receivable (AR) process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts.

6. Supervise the accounts payable (AP) process, including vendor payments, expense management, and reconciliation of supplier accounts.

7. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records related to tax, AR, and AP functions, maintaining proper documentation and records retention.

8. Analyze AR and AP aging reports, identify delinquent accounts or overdue payments, and implement strategies to minimize bad debt and improve cash flow.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Legal, to address any tax or compliance-related issues and support business initiatives.

10. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, GST guidelines, and accounting standards, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders as needed.

Requirement


CA with 2-3 years of experience in finance roles with a focus on tax, compliance, GST, AR, and AP functions.
