You will be working as Senior R&D Engineer at global grade 14 and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology and/or product development by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Using unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks.

Your responsibilities
  • Being a R&D Software engineer, this role demands programming embedded systems in substations application
  • Ensuring this development needs strong knowledge in software development methodologies and quality process and practices as per CMMI, good knowledge in power systems domain especially about protection & control relays and systems
  • Having solid demonstration of technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology/engineering assignments, mainly in research and development (R&D) projects, which demonstrates independent ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions
  • Following the scientific discussions in own competence area and contributing independently
  • Contributing to R&D projects with own, creative ideas. Proposing follow-up projects and activities within own technical area based on new ideas
  • Being a solid R&D project member and contributor, with experience as project or sub-project leader, ensuring alignment with assigned targets (time, cost, quality) and coordinates activities
  • Demonstrating sound understanding of, and actively applies, R&D processes and tools
Your background
  • BE/MTech in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering
  • 6 to 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Good Debugging capabilities, Linux, Sudo, Yocto
  • Knowledge on Socket programming, Device Driver, Embedded OS, Eclipse
  • Knowledge Java, AWS Cloud Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes and knowledge in using GIT, Static Code analysis, Unit testing tools
  • Should be exposed of Agile Development methodology
  • Should be able to guide team, provide estimations and execute milestones withing committed time
