The Head of Global Delivery Transformation is responsible for driving and delivering a complex portfolio of projects that involve cross-organizational and strategic initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing and deploying "Digital-first" operating model and required capabilities across Global Delivery, including managing our business change group and all associated projects establishing governance for all operating model, client and regulatory driven change initiatives.

The Head of Global Delivery Transformation will also play a lead role in the Global Delivery Simplification program across the enterprise focused on executing our strategy to,

  • simplify our operating models and optimize technology.
  • strengthen resiliency and footprint and improve controls.
  • invest in people and talent creating high-performing teams.
  • create a culture of innovation and be a change agent for new ways of working to ensure long term sustainability.

This is a multi-year, multi-million-dollar investment program, involving extensive operational transformation across all global services and functions across the organization.

The Head of Global Delivery Transformation is responsible for providing strategic direction, organization and management of the entire portfolio of Global Delivery projects including Global Delivery Simplification. This includes mobilization of resources ensuring accountable streams leads, business analysts and subject matter experts are in place to support process mapping, current state analysis, target operating model design and process reengineering. The role provides strategic and operational guidance for the division's digital and business transformation efforts, including accountability for realization of target state outcomes and resolve conflicts / implementing corrective actions if an initiative is not meeting benefit targets.

The Head of Global Delivery Transformation is a member of the Global Delivery Leadership team and is the senior lead interfacing with Global Technology Services, Finance, Human Resources, Alpha and commercial segments and other relevant partner/stakeholder groups. This role will have accountability for successful execution of overall transformation agenda (inc. financial, controls) across Global Delivery, including:

  • collective ownership of changes by the leadership team
  • explicit and transparent cross-org trade-offs focused on what is best for GD (vs. one area)
  • thoughtful sequencing of implementation (what to accelerate, defer, or stop)
  • holistic prioritization of opportunities to reinvest savings (which capabilities to build)
  • portfolio management of initiatives for inclusion and prioritization, including resourcing and funding
  • Monitor and assess performance & progress of portfolio initiatives against plan

The Head of Global Delivery Transformation is responsible for evolving technology strategy in close partnership with Technology Services. This will be important especially in the space of evaluation & executing on powerful new technologies like AI/ML to continue to remain relevant and maintain strategic advantage. While improving and streamlining processes will be part of the strategy the big differentiator will be to deploy the right technologies and bring in digital transformation and it becomes important for the candidate to have a high degree of proficiency in both technology and operational flows to be effective in this role.

The Head of Global Delivery Transformation would help in developing and driving initiatives that help a company grow, strengthen resiliency and improve controls.

The candidate for this role will possess and/or be able to demonstrate,

  • A proven track record at a senior global level in asset servicing or asset management. Over 15 years' leadership experience within operations and or technology
  • Prior background in leading a multi-disciplinary transformation capability with focus on creating long term sustainability:
    • Business architecture and design (inc. emerging tech innovation and deployment)
    • Processing engineering and tactical automation (e.g. RPA)
    • Portfolio management
    • Methodology & standards
    • Financial management
    • Resource management
  • Extensive, in-depth relevant experience in program management, including leading multi-year, cross-functional or enterprise-wide programs across both operations and technology functions within a global financial service enterprise.
  • Strong project planning skills and expertise in large, complex program management, across multiple work-streams; releases and complex data migrations
  • Capability to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and deliver multiple cross-organizational projects concurrently, working with multiple project teams, releases with extensive release management techniques.
  • An exceptional understanding of standards-based program management and business analysis practices (Agile/Six-Sigma/Lean), with demonstrable skills in program and project management tools and methodologies
  • Ability to work cross-enterprise to define and prioritize target client and product outcomes and ensure focus on these outcomes is maintained through program delivery.
  • Excellent leadership skills influencing global cross-functional teams with a focus on pro-active communication and managing multiple and sometimes challenging stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with an ability to think strategically, manage complexity, significant change and multiple key priorities.
  • Commercially astute with an ability to managing uncertainty with extensive experience in managing third parties, who are critical to the success of the program.
  • Demonstrated resiliency and track record of leading high-profile, high-pressure programs; Energy, enthusiasm and an obsession with quality and delivering to clients/stakeholders
