You will be working as Production Engineering Manager at global grade 11 and will be part of Electrification business area for Smart Power based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Manager and will be responsible for leading a function focused on the optimization of the production organization's assembly methods, processes and equipment in cooperation with production management and Research and Development (R&D).

Your responsibilities
  • Ensuring that the production process aligns with the project targets, approves the design, both for internal or external developed processes and performing the final test in accordance with the project's data
  • Defining production costs and the sequence of the working phases of a new production process to minimize cost and maximize quality
  • Supporting the Supply Chain Management department in selecting suppliers, evaluating the technology and capacity and determining the best option
  • Ensuring integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope
  • Promoting and enabling collaboration in the division, across divisions, business areas and teams to maximize results for ABB
  • Managing relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensuring alignment
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 to 9 years of experience in related field
  • Experience in budget and performance management
  • Should be specialized technical and engineering skills
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
