Job Description

The Senior analyst will oversee the day-to-day international financial reporting tasks, such as preparing tax computations, reviewing consultant-prepared tax computations, providing tax compliance support, and handling audits.

What you will do in this role:

  • Prepare accounting packages that support tax returns for various locations, including India.
  • Handle the preparation of tax-related disclosures in financial statements.
  • Prepare or review Form 3CD and other tax forms.
  • Manage effective tax rate reconciliations and variations in tax schedules.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements and all associated disclosures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, as well as internal teams, to offer requested information and assist during statutory audits.
  • Engage in special projects, analysis requests, ad-hoc reporting, and other assigned tasks;
  • Be capable of meeting strict statutory deadlines, ensure all deadlines are met accurately, and be adaptable to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Continuously assess accounting processes and procedures to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement and implement improvements to enhance process efficiency.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Chartered Accountant designation with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in taxation and/or a similar environment with a proven track record.
  • Experience in Big 4 public accounting tax firms and/or Multinational Corporations (MNC's) is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Taxation with a strong understanding of Income tax acts and laws.
  • Extensive experience in India statutory and tax audit, sound knowledge of Companies Act and India IFC/SOX, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of IGAAP/ IFRS with the ability to stay updated on changes in guidance.
  • Experience with SAP and Workiva is advantageous.
  • Experience in SOX reporting/internal controls preparation is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in computer skills using Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; and the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team with diverse individuals.
  • Demonstrate strong independence, initiative, motivation, and a proactive mindset;
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple assignments proficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
