Job overview and responsibilities

The Principal Enterprise Architect will play a key role in influencing United Airline's IT digital strategy as well as providing tactical architecture direction to ensure the enterprise can achieve the strategy. This individual will provide strategic advice and guidance to functional team(s). Highly skilled with broad, advanced technical and cloud experience especially related to IT disciplines. This role serves as a thought leader to challenge/direct all levels across the organization to rethink routine, embrace new best practices, and drive adoption of technology standards. The individual will also apply enterprise architecture governance over solutions that provide technical capabilities. This role will proactively work towards improving the reliability and resiliency of applications and services

Collaborate with domain architects, engineers, and leaders to develop reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, technical standards and architecture decision frameworks that guide the design of technology solutions and applications across the enterpriseDevelop and manage a technical strategy and coordinates adoptionThis role will be responsible to architect guidance that conveys best practices and common pitfalls for system design, infrastructure integrations, application development practices and application runtime principlesDevelop architecture metrics and plans to achieve resultsApply architectural and engineering concepts to design solutions that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, observability, stability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageabilityConduct research and develop Proof of Concepts on emerging technologies and implementation toolkits in support of anticipated development efforts and recommend technologies that functionally robust and cost effectiveResearch, enforce, and drive the adoption of automation and evangelizes best practices in areas such SRE as for solution developmentIdentify new technologies, industry trends, and best practices, which should be incorporated into policies & roadmap

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.



Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degreeComputer Science9+ Years of Enterprise Architecture3+-5 Years of Cloud experienceStrong technical disposition for cloud infrastructure, observability, and performance management.Strong interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other DevOps and engineering teams7+ or more years of experience in Site Reliability EngineeringMust be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
