The Senior Salesforce Developer on the IT Business Systems team will collaborate with fellow developers, administrators, QA testers, and release managers to deliver innovative solutions on the Salesforce platform.

About this Role (Responsibilities)

  • Spends most of their time on Salesforce development tasks, requiring a high level of technical expertise in areas such as:

○ APEX triggers and Platform Event handlers

○ Aura and Lightning Web components

○ APEX batch processes

○ VF pages

○ REST Web Services

  • Follows design, architecture, and development best practices
  • Conducts code reviews and actively participates in deployment processes

○ Proficiency with GitHub tooling and PR process

○ Adheres to proper code review etiquette

○ Strong commitment to delivering top-quality code

  • Active involvement in deployment processes

○ Identifies affected components

○ Merges code with the rest of the codebase

○ Identifies and resolves merge conflicts

○ Develops thorough tests to validate code

  • Assists in creating project estimates and plans for themselves

○ Accurately estimates story sizes based on SCRUM process

○ Ensures timely delivery of work

○ Proactively addresses any blockers that arise

  • Proficient in troubleshooting issues

○ Utilizes Developer Console, Workbench, and other troubleshooting tools

○ Analyzes Salesforce Debug Logs for errors and performance concerns

  • Actively seeks and stays updated on Salesforce technologies, related tools, and best practices

Do you have the right ingredients (Requirements)

  • Minimum 4 years of Salesforce development experience (Lightning, VF, Apex) in a corporate setting

Advanced proficiency in using Process Builders, Flows, and other Salesforce platform tools

Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies

Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud (Experience Cloud knowledge is a bonus)

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

Capability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salesforce Platform Developer II certification

Bonus Ingredients (Optional Skills)

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or a similar tool
  • Experience with Jira or equivalent platforms
  • Proficiency in version control tools like GitHub
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CI/CD tools (AutoRabit)
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ Products, Features, Options, Configuration Attributes
  • Expertise in Salesforce CPQ Product Rules, Pricing Rules, Lookup Queries
  • Understanding of Salesforce Discounting, contracts, quote templates, and renewals
