Manager - Trade Marketing

Primary Purpose for role:


Support the Traditional Trade Channel Head in driving channel development initiatives through sharp trade input management and championing best in class execution for the channel.

The role is based out of Gurugram.

Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:

  • Anchor the Trade Input design, execution and evaluation to drive incremental business from the channel
  • Partner with the regions to plan and design trade schemes to deliver the AOC volume plan for the region
  • Engage with ASMs to have periodic dialogue on efficacy of trade schemes
  • Prepare and formalize a culture of post activity evaluation with the stakeholders
  • Own the Perfect Store Execution template
  • End to end ownership of McCain Perfect Store Program
  • Engage with marketing to build in integration of shopper marketing campaigns into the channel
  • Partner with regions and marketing to anchor micromarketing inputs
  • Partner with shopper marketing to drive the signage agenda for the channel
  • Manage end to end Top Store Program
  • Udaan
  • Own the Udaan Program with a holistic understanding of Top Stores target setting and payouts
  • Partner with ASMs on closure of TOT and JBPs with large Regional Chains
  • Anchor the RER agenda for the channel
  • Partner with Marketing to formalize the NCP calendar for the channel
  • Partner with NSDM to drive VPOs from Freezer Stores through consumer promotion Route
  • Plan and execute a yearly recruitment agenda for the channel
  • Partner with Shopper Marketing to align and execute wet sampling actions to drive Recruitment in TT channel

Knowledge/Experience:

  • 5+ in FMCG as Area Manager , 2+ years' experience in Trade/Customer marketing function desirable
  • Prior team handling experience

  • Strong technical and analytical skills with a keen eye for details
  • Strong verbal/ written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to build trust and sustainable interpersonal relationships with multiple internal/ external stakeholders
  • Selfmotivated, action oriented with an ability to work under pressure and drive assignments to completion within desired timelines while keeping the team morale high
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills
