Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to set up and execute routine tests for different products in accordance with standard testing methodologies and requirements. Each day, you will perform your tasks or activities using skills and techniques as well as a practical understanding of concepts used in the field of technology. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring proper documentation of the test results.
The work model for the role is: #onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification business area and Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:

• Demonstrating solid competence in technologies, tools, and methods in their own area of specialization by solving complex industrial problems, working independently, and with an ability to guide and mentor junior team members.

• Understanding the customer and business value created by their own contribution in the context of ABB's overall offering.

• Collaborating actively with technical experts from other areas and across functions.

• Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in applying the lessons learned to ensure timely and highquality results.

Qualifications for the role
  • You are immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in/ you enjoy working with CAD (ProE, Solidworks etc.,). Reading of technical drawings and experience in PLM system is required
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in / Have established skills / advanced skills / You have 5 to 10 years of experience in Gas Insulated and Air insulated Switchgear Design of mechanical parts and assemblies, Prototyping and type testing, Reading of technical drawings, PLM product lifecycle management
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of / You are qualified in / Highly adept in Design of sheet metal parts, casted and machined metal parts, molded plastic parts
  • Degree in / Have a demonstrated track record in / Extensive knowledge of / Proven experience of Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • You are at ease communicating in English
