Nacelles R&D > Control Hardware Module > Control HW Lifecycle Management

Nacelles R&D is part of Research & Development, which is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development, and continuous product improvements we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas.

Control Hardware Module is the nervous system of the turbine that ensure control and communication of the turbines and parks.

Responsibilities

  • One point of contact for costing activities in Control Hardware
  • Drive the modules' costing and cost-out activities
  • Create and maintain costing roadmaps for the module

Qualifications

  • B.E with Data Science/Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/Structural Engineering/ or related fields
  • Previous experience within data analysis and minimum 2 years of experience with a larger organization dealing with complex products
  • Good business and value chain understanding
  • Cost management experience is desirable

    • Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we currently use in our workflow
    • Have an understanding of electrical and mechanical systems to:
    • Model the cost of the systems
    • Understand and promote cost-out activities
    • Efficiently communicate with engineering teams
  • Additionally, we expect that you
    • Succeed as part of a team and that it comes naturally for you to collaborate and share knowledge
    • Have the patience to listen to, understand and respect your colleagues
    • Are committed to encouraging the world in Wind Turbine technology
    • Like to work with complex engineering problems and have a creative approach to new opportunities
    • Take pride in initiating and coordinating projects through a large organization
    • Are enthusiastic, result-oriented and have a good sense of responsibility
    • Have good communication skills and are fluent in English (speaking and writing)
    • Have a good sense of humor
  • It is an added value if you have
    • Experience with Jira
    • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools ( e.g. Scrum)
    • Project Management or business education/experience
    • Experience within large corporate organizations
