The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L2) plays a key role in delivering a managed service to clients, ensuring the ongoing operation of their Cloud infrastructure by actively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving cloud-based incidents, service requests, and alerts. The primary aim of this position is to proactively assess client requests or tickets and leverage technical knowledge to resolve them within service level agreements (SLAs). This role concentrates on second-line support for incidents and requests of moderate complexity to guarantee the smooth functioning and optimization of clients' cloud infrastructure and services.

This role may also involve contributing to project work as needed.

What you'll engage in

  • 4-8 years of solid experience in managing public cloud environments, particularly on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Managing and upholding cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Implementing and supervising cloud security measures, encompassing identity and access management, network configurations, and data protection.
  • Monitoring cloud services and resources, evaluating system performance, and suggesting enhancements.
  • Automating cloud operations and workflows using scripting languages and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Adept knowledge of cloud services, architectures, and deployment models.
  • Proficiency in utilizing cloud automation and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with scripting languages, for example, Python, PowerShell.
  • Solid grasp of network architectures and data security protocols.
  • Aiding in the deployment and management of applications in the cloud.
  • Collaborating with IT and development teams to integrate cloud management with existing processes and tools.
  • Managing backup and disaster recovery processes to maintain data integrity and availability.
  • Providing technical support and training to team members on cloud-related subjects.
  • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in cloud computing and introducing innovative cloud solutions and practices.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing without direct authority.
  • Quick learner comfortable working under pressure, with keen attention to detail.
