The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L2) is responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their Cloud infrastructure remain operational through proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving cloud-based incidents, service requests and alerts. The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA). This role focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity to ensure the smooth operation and optimisation of clients' cloud infrastructure and services.
This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

Working at NTT

4-8 years of proven experience in managing public cloud environments, particularly with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Managing and maintaining the cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability. Implementing and overseeing cloud security measures, including identity and access management, network configurations, and data protection. Monitoring cloud services and resources, analyzing system performance, and making recommendations for improvements. Automating cloud operations and workflows using scripting languages and automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation. Strong knowledge of cloud services, architectures, and deployment models. Proficiency in using cloud automation and orchestration tools. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). Solid understanding of network architectures and data security protocols. Assisting with the deployment and management of applications in the cloud. Collaborating with IT and development teams to integrate cloud management with existing processes and tooling. Handling the backup and disaster recovery processes and ensuring that data integrity and availability are maintained. Providing technical support and training to team members on cloud-related topics. Staying updated with the latest developments in cloud computing and introducing innovative cloud solutions and practices. Good English language skills, written and spoken, with strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence without authority Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure, with attention to details.
