This is an opportunity for a technically minded individual to join us as a Software EngineerYou'll be working with new and innovative technology to deliver high impact solutionsHone your existing software engineering skills and advance your career in this critical roleWe're offering this role at associate vice president levelWhat you'll do You'll apply widely agreed software engineering principles and methodologies to design, develop, test and maintain applications and services to achieve the stated business and technology goals within required budgets and timelines. We'll also look to you to oversee the quality of work, making sure that it meets the technical standards for all services output. You'll also: Design and develop reusable libraries and application programming interfaces for use across the bankDesign and develop software that is amenable for a greater automation of build, release testing and deployment process on all environmentsSupport the reuse and sharing of platform components and technologies within the software engineering teamsDeliver software components to enable the delivery of platforms, applications and servicesWrite unit and integration tests, in automated test environments to ensure code qualityThe skills you'll need You'll need a minimum of six years of experience in software engineering, software design, architecture, and an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers. You'll also have experience of test-driven development alongside the use of automated test frameworks, mocking or stubbing and unit testing tools. It'll be ideal if you have a background in solving highly complex, analytical and numerical problems. You'll also need: Experience of working with code repositories, bug tracking tools and wikis as well as experience of designing and implementing APIsCoding experience in multiple programming languagesExperience of DevOps and Agile methodology and associated toolsets and methodologiesKnowledge of Spring Boot, microservices and Java design patternsKnowledge of relational, in-memory, distributed and NoSQL databasesExperience of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performance
