Engineering & Business Service Center > QHSE Service > Quality Assurance & Execution

QBD is a team in QHSE-EBSC (Engineering Business Service Center, Chennai) that is responsible for handling / managing QBD's and QBD process. The department will consist of skilled industry experts from the field of manufacturing, process trouble shooting, optimization, provide solutions that is located in Chennai, India

Responsibilities

1) Driving Quality Before Delivery (QBD) level 4 (Escalation from factory manager to Regions/ Business unit leader level) & level 5 (Escalations from Business unit leader to Chief operating officer) issues for solutions.

2) Responsible for systematic problem management for the escalated issues at BU leader and COO level at the set timelines - this requires deep knowledge & experience in manufacturing processes

3) Responsible for effective cross functional team selection to guide the problem solving & root cause identification with the support from resource managers of various departments in value chain around the globe Responsible to transfer the lesson learns from the issues to avoid reoccurrence of it 4. 4) Identification of problems and creative mitigation of key risks including appropriate communication to local key stakeholders and management team

5) Overall governance responsible for QBD process in all segments

Qualifications

1) Degree in Engineering with minimum of 10~15 years of experience in Blade manufacturing industry.

2) Experience in Project management (PRINCE 2 or PMP certification is added advantage).

3) Experience with lean / Six sigma tools is added advantage.

4) Blades manufacturing / Wind Turb Manufacturing knowledge is mandatory.

5) Proficient in Quality core tools

6) Hands on experience in Problem solving techniques

Competencies

1. Expert knowledge in problem solving skills related to blade manufacturing process.

2. Conduct / drive actions that are identified by the CFT.

3. Ability to cope up and work with many different levels in the Organization

4. Open and seek collaboration with team-members + engage proactive approach with Local factory staff in each region across the Globe
