We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative team member to join our Engineering department in the Engineering & Business Service Center.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Lead Engineer/Assistant Lead Engineer to join our Tool Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools and equipment used in our factories and wind farms. Your expertise will be essential in driving process improvements, reducing costs, and enhancing quality through standardization, modularization, and process efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical requirement specifications for paint and resin-related equipment
  • Coordinate with design teams and suppliers to ensure design requirements are met
  • Conduct impact analysis on factory layouts for new tools and products
  • Define utility requirements in layouts with cross-functional teams
  • Drive process improvements through innovative solutions and regular workshops
  • Contribute to cost reduction and quality improvement through standardization and process efficiency
  • Drive knowledge sharing, train new employees, and contribute to team competency building

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in tool design and/or product engineering manufacturing
  • Experience in mechanical design and specification compliant with international standards
  • Exposure to working in an intercultural environment

Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of structural mechanics
  • Experience in 3D modeling and 2D drafting, preferably using CREO/PDMlink
  • Broad knowledge of engineering basics
  • Work experience in paint kitchen/adhesive-related equipment is mandatory
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing and insight into wind turbines, welding processes, and material properties
  • Strong collaboration focus and ability to motivate colleagues within project teams
  • Good communication skills to report effectively on project status at all levels of an organization
  • Good stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships with key members of the value-stream
