IS Department Manager for InfoSec Advisory & Assessments

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be working as IS Service Owner for Security Consultancy Services and will be reporting to the IS Department Manager for InfoSec Advisory & Assessments. You will be leading a Global Security team in IS that provides information security advisory, consulting and risk assessments services across ABB IS landscape in alignment with ABB IS Information Security Policies & Standards, providing guidance to security by design and in its roadmap. You will develop and manage a high performing global team of security experts protecting ABB information assets and intellectual property through providing guidance and recommendations on required security controls, for both internal teams and external third parties. You will also be accountable for developing, implementing and executing the Global Security Consultancy capabilities resulting from demands coming from Business & IS Functions.

Each day, you will be responsible to design, implement, and maintain the framework to deliver the risk assessment & consulting advisory services in scope, on time, within budget, and in line with the customer's expectations. You will also showcase your expertise by managing multiple third-party global vendor contracts to assure high service quality and optimizing the cost.

This role is contributing to the Global IS Information Security function. Main stakeholders are customers within ABB supporting various ABB business areas and divisions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Creating and managing Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Operational Level Agreements (OLA) to increase transparency between service provider and Service Owner, and providing feedback about service's performance, availability, etc.

• Collaborating within ABB IS teams and 3rd Party IS Suppliers for ensuring understanding of existing business requirements, new service demands and implementing security in design and the roadmap.

• Delivering and continuously improving maturity of security risk assessment and consultancy services across the ABB Group within budgeted costs, schedule, effort, time, and cost estimates for demand requests, and ensuring that service reaches its targets with increase in performance year after year.

• Establishing and monitoring a comprehensive risk focused monitoring metrics for ensuring efficient delivery of security services meeting business requirements.

• Serving as the escalation point in case of a severe problem in the service and working with the service line to get the service back on track.

• Developing and maintaining appropriate Security competence within the department, ensuring alignment to given IS goals, ABB IS Policy & Standards, Regulations and Guidelines, Architecture and IS Security best practices.

• Managing senior security professionals and groups, determining and delegating management responsibilities, setting performance objectives, and monitoring progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related qualification.
  • 12+ years of Information Security experience with at least 6 years in leading information security teams, and at least 6 years of experience with risk management or security consulting.
  • Strong experience in security services operations from design, launch and maintenance.
  • Practical experience in common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST , NIST CSF, COBIT, etc..
  • Strong knowledge of the following areas of technical expertise: information security management and governance, Cloud technologies, IT risk assessment and management, the overall context of Information Systems technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present complex and technical issues to diverse audiences including senior management.
  • Preferred candidate with CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certifications.
