About the role
As Associate Support Engineer you will be part of existing Business Application Support team and responsible for monitoring, deploying and managing public cloud platform for various applications. This role will report directly to the Circle Lead Cloud Operations.
About the team
Our team is the global Reinsurance IT Operations and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations in public cloud, provision new environments, provide production support for various applications. This highly motivated team works with different teams and external clients to provide the excellent support. Activities will cover from reviewing the design to provisioning the infrastructure / applications and monitoring.
Your responsibilities include:- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues reported by users or detected through monitoring systems.
- Troubleshooting issues encountered by users and providing workarounds until permanent fix is provided.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure, applications and the underlying services.
- Keep up with innovation or changes to Cloud platform and work with developers to adapt the changes.
- Analyze logs, traffic flow and configuration data on periodic basis to detect and address any anomalies.
- Identify, categorize, and respond to platform, network & security events.
- Monitor performance and gather metrics for reporting and analysis.
- Liaise with developers to implement best practices / standards.
- Review the solutions and test new infrastructure releases.
- Develop scripts for automation and monitoring.
- Perform regular maintenance activities like Disaster Recovery tests, Key rotation.
- Manage and coordinate day to day activities of the Cloud Operations Team.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide hands-on support during emergencies or outages.
You are a technologist with strong understanding of public cloud and proficient at compliance and operations. You are a strong collaborator with proficiency in mapping business needs to technical solutions.
You should bring the following skills and experiences:- Bachelor's degree level or equivalent in computer science or related field.
- 2 or 3 years of hands-on experience, preferably in Azure Cloud.
- Proficient in monitoring, alerting and logging tools.
- Working experience of DevOps tools.
- Working experience of Database and containerization technologies are preferred.
- The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact and work with staff and leadership at all levels.
- Dedication to provide support to the business timely, efficiently and professionally.
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate
