What is the opportunity?

We are on the lookout for a Mid-level Full-stack Engineer ready to navigate the multifaceted challenges of transitioning our product from seed to MVP.This role is pivotal, especially with the intricate technical nuances of our product and our aim for a resilient and expandable platform. You will integrate into our core tech squad, spearheading both the frontend and backend dimensions of our platform. This encompasses product and infrastructure architecture, establishing quality benchmarks, and delivering a secure full-stack solution.

Position: Full-stack Engineer for a Marine Fintech Corporate Venture

Reports to: CTO/Engineering Lead

Load: Full-time

Location: Bangalore

What will you be doing at SeaBoard?

Your expertise will lead the charge in holistic product development, primarily:

Full-stack Development & Oversight: Spearhead the creation, fine-tuning, and integration of front-end and back-end components, while coordinating with designers and strategists to ensure a holistic product experience.

Product Development: Lead the development and troubleshooting of the core product; collaborate with front-end, design, and business teams to build efficient, scalable secure and standards-compliant (PCI-DDS, GDPR, etc.) systems.

Deployment & Operations: Set up and maintain CI/CD processes, monitor, troubleshoot and optimize live systems. Ensure system security and compliance through design, config and audits in line with best practices.

Team Synergy & Evolution: Augment our tech crew, and with fellow engineers, co-create our technological direction and excellence.

Your key responsibilities include:

Crafting and upholding the complete development of our platform, both front and back ends.
Synchronizing with peers for a fluid integration of all system components.
Engaging in agile methodologies, aiding in decisive product development.
Cultivating a unified and proactive tech team culture.
Shape the core team's ways of working.

What would we want you to bring?

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields with 4-7 years in full-stack development experience.
Past involvement in blueprinting intricate systems, ideally in a startup or tech-forward enterprise.
Robust expertise across technology stacks: cloud solutions (AWS), databases (relational, NoSQL, etc.), backend (TypeScript or JavaScript, NodeJS), and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte, Angular).
A command over TypeScript or JavaScript, substantiated by hands-on accomplishments.
Demonstrated skills in sculpting and activating AWS-centric solutions.
An architectural mindset emphasizing modularity, scalable designs, and automated patterns.
A solid grasp of contemporary practices in agile workflows, TDD, and DevOps paradigms.
Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and approaches to derive beneficial solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on impact.
Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse and remote engineering teams.
A genuine interest in enhancing the lives of seafarers through technology.
