• To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G plc's operational risk.

• 1st line Risk and Controls Risk Management: Ensure to undertake and lead the RCSA reviews, check and challenge the process through reviews and half yearly KCA testing, tracking & Investigation of Notifiable Events, KRI submissions. Coordinate, provide guidance, attestation, check and challenge the risk assessment on MUDA's and provide timely BCP submissions for the Finance department

• Collaborate with 2nd & 3rd line: To ensure the team works in collaboration with the 2nd line Risk function, to ensure all policies & standard requirements are understood and delivered as required. Build relationship for all-Finance with second line Risk and third line Risk (Internal Audit). The types of risk will span the full range from those associated with Finance, Financial crime & ALM, operational processes, outsourcing, technology, information security, business continuity and similar.

• Stakeholder Management: To ensure timely delivery and submission to stakeholders on any risk management requirements. To timely escalate issues that require senior management support.

• Support team cohesion and work performance: Support the Controls COE team, ensure the teams functions in a cohesive manner and works together to supports business as 1st line risk and controls. Support each person in the team to perform to their best and understand how their work contributes to the achievement of business success and improves the risk culture within Finance.

• Manage the implementation aspects of a robust and effective risk management culture throughout Finance. Ownership of standardised operational processes for controls, training them out to all Finance.

• Manage the development and ongoing support to effective risk governance arrangements, including coordination of relevant MI and reporting.

• Liaise with the business's key relationship managers to ensure the appropriate focus on operational risk in outsourced areas.

• Committee Packs: Preparation & delivery of Risk and Controls MI, data gathering etc. Manage the development and ongoing support to effective risk governance arrangements, including coordination of relevant MI and reporting

• Use your judgement to strengthen a positive risk and control culture, by identifying, assessing and managing risk within your business area

• Frame and review the governance framework to ensure that the work is carried out in a controlled environment reducing / mitigating the potential risks
