You will be working as Testing and Quality Specialist at global grade 15 and will be part of Electrification business area for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Quality Control Manager and will be responsible for participating in the development and implementation of standards and test methods to ensure only conform products, software and services are released to the customer.

Your responsibilities
  • Conducting test protocols as assigned to ensure the products, systems or software meet specified requirements and customer expectations in incoming, manufacturing, factory test labs or final inspection quality, including internal testing routine and F.A.T. as applicable
  • Supporting quality control needs and activities for supplier quality, production quality, testing and validation, engineering as applicable in the local organization
  • Executing and assisting specific quality related training, promoting passion for quality, integrity in all the actions and results orientation
  • Collecting, recording and evaluating data to be interpretated according to the internal ABB specifications, customer norms, applicable national or global standards, always under high level of integrity
  • Assisting engineering staff to develop test protocols as necessary to investigate the integrity of new products, or new functionality for existing products
  • Performing activities related to designated areas within quality control
Your background
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in relevant field
  • Experience in mechanical testing and quality of AIS products
  • Knowledge about FAT - Factory Acceptance Testing, Final Testing and Quality Inspection, Customer Inspection
  • Should have good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
