You will be working as Procurement Specialist at global grade 15 and will be part of Electrification business for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Purchasing Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the implementation, maintenance and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the procurement function to support the business(es). Executing assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures.

Your responsibilities

• Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products
• Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products / materials to reach business targets
• Supporting the Procurement Manager in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements
• Tracking the procurement processes, activities and creating and updating reports, as required, following the ABB standards
• Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools and processes in their own area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability
• Resolving issues related to procurement cost, quality and delivery in their assigned area

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Require 2 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field
• Good to have procurement, negotiation, inventory management, OTD, from a switchgear industry background
• Good knowledge in SAP, MS Package, Power Bi – advantage
• A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
