The Lead Software Developer is responsible for managing the analysis, programming, and configuration of information technology systems software. This role advises developers on the best methods of software development and code creation. Working with the leadership team, this position leads the execution of key divisional, departmental, or cross-functional software development initiatives, ensuring clear targets, goals, and expectations are established, communicated, and executed.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Monitors development work to ensure resulting software meets established goals.
  • Manages the identification of business needs, conducts requirements gathering, and defines scope and objectives for IT systems.
  • Advises the development and implementation of new products, processes, and operational plans.
  • Manages the configuration, customization, diagnosis, and enhancements of operating systems software.
  • Oversees training of users within the organization on new systems.
  • Manages the performance of direct reports through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of software development projects and engagement, motivation, and development of the team.
  • Works with functional leadership teams to ensure the transition to new programs and implemented solutions is smooth and effective.

Job Description:
  • Developing/supporting complex efforts involving analysis, design, development, and testing of various application components within Asset Management domain.
  • Hands-on developer capable of debugging the system and fixing production-related issues.
  • Strong ability to analyze functional needs driving the analysis and technical design of quality technical solutions.
  • Implements solutions aligned with business/IT strategies and complies with company's architectural standards.
  • Resolves complex application and technical problems.
  • Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies; provides mentoring and training to junior staff.
  • Handles complex operational tasks and recommends processing and technology changes.
  • Investigates, analyzes, and documents reported defects.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation following defined templates that meet SDLC standards.
  • Leads and develops complex architecture requirements analysis to convert end-user needs into technical solutions.
  • Creates and maintains optimal data pipeline architecture.
  • Assembles large, complex data sets meeting functional/non-functional business requirements.
  • Delivers solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms and applications across the enterprise.
  • Communicates the design of the technical architecture clearly to other leaders within the organization.
  • Designs the development and implementation of the overall architecture, helping define the blueprint for technical architecture to support mission needs.
Qualification/Skillsets:
  • 14+ years of experience in IT platform development in a technical and analytical role.
  • Expertise in AWS services such as EKS, Amazon S3, Lambda, etc.
  • Experience in developing applications using Java, Python, EKS, Lambda, etc. services in AWS.
  • Experience in Unit testing.
  • Understanding of Terraform scripts and CI/CD process.
  • Desirable to have worked with tools like Event Bridge, AppFlow, AirFlow(MWAA), Quicksight.
  • Desired domain skills in Asset Management & Trading Life Cycle.
  • Good Communication Skills.
